Cupping, Graston & Manual Techniques

Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy involves the application of cups with a suction force applied to lift tissues away from the body to decompress restricted areas, improve blood flow, and stimulate the natural healing process. This helps to treat areas of scar tissue,  inflammation, and tissue restrictions to reduce pain and tightness and improve mobility to promote recovery and restore movement and function.

Does it hurt?

Most patients report little to no discomfort.

GRASTON TECHNIQUE

This technique is hugely popular with our patients. Using stainless steel instruments, therapists can detect and treat areas of the body exhibiting scar tissue, chronic inflammation and tissue restriction. This technique reduces pain and increases range of motion, helping the patient to achieve a speedier rehab and lower the need for NSAIDs and other anti-inflammatory/pain medications.

MANUAL TECHNIQUES

VTPT therapists are trained in a variety of hands on techniques to help relieve pain. Myofascial Release, trigger point work, Kinesiotaping, traction and lymphatic drainage work are all in our therapists’ repertoires and can make a substantial difference in patient’s healing experience.
