Birgit Eckstrom, DPT
Physical Therapist

Birgit Eckstrom received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. Her clinical and personal experiences have influenced her philosophy that there can be no single approach to patient care. With that in mind, she seeks to take an integrative approach that addresses the needs of the whole patient in order to achieve therapy goals.

Since graduating, Birgit has attended several courses through the Postural Restoration Institute with the goal of certification in the near future. She has also been trained in Graston technique, an instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that can be used to effectively assess and treat many conditions. Together with specific mindfulness for overall health and well being, these techniques allow treatment of the whole person by eliminating restrictions and correcting the underlying cause.

In her free time, Birgit enjoys spending time outside with her dog and exploring new trails. She also spends time learning about herbal medicine and Women’s Health specialties.
