Vermont Physical Therapy has earned the designation of a Postural Restoration® Center. Postural Restoration® Centers are places of business where at least one individual is Postural Restoration credentialed and all other individuals on staff have completed two or more PRI sponsored courses. Individuals who are credentialed have earned this designation by virtue of advanced training, extraordinary interest & devotion to the science of postural adaptations, asymmetrical patterns & the influence of polyarticular chains of muscles on the human body as defined by the Postural Restoration Institute, LLC.
Over the past 10 years, Chad Rainey, clinic director, has been training in PRI. In December 2013, he earned his Postural Restoration Certificate (PRC). At Vermont Physical Therapy, the therapists are proud to integrate the PRI approach into their treatment plans. Ultimately treating the whole body ensures a more successful, complete recovery, and helps to prevent injuries from occurring or worsening. Improving body symmetry and decreasing muscle imbalances decreases the likelihood of injury or aggravating an existing condition. If you have tried physical therapy before and you did not get the results you were hoping for, the PRI treatment approach may vastly improve your overall function.
